The objective of this study is to determine the level of slope instability in the Tutumbaru- Machente stretch road, due to the slope with fractured rock, considering the great importance it has on the preparation of the engineering cadets of the Military School of Chorrillos " Coronel Francisco Bolognesi ”, so it will be very usefull for the engineering cadets to have information on the level of stability of the slope in said section and obtain more knowledge on this subject since as future officers we will work in units surrounding this area and we will have to apply what we have learned, identifying the most recurrent failure modes, thus understanding the mechanics of rocks while using geotechnical theories, principles and tools that will be learned from this study. The type of research that has been developed is basic, with a non-experimental - transectional design and the technique used for the collection of information was the SPSS statistics, bibliographic analysis and survey model for the 30 inhabitants as a sample. Product of the analysis of the results of the field work, of the collection and statistical analysis of the data and after a discussion of the same, it can be concluded in this present research work that: 80% of those surveyed agree that the use of software to analyze the stability calculations in the slope with fractured rock of the road of the Tutumbaru-Machente section could be an effective option, in addition 16.67% are shown in disagreement. On the other hand, 3.33% are undefined. The slope that occurs in the Tutumbaru-Machente section does not have the sufficient safety factor that is required to meet the stability standards after being verified through the Slide program. Previous data collection analysis was obtained as a result that the safety factor in the studied section is less than the minimum that is required for the slope to be almost perfect, therefore it will be unstable. Taking into consideration that the slope of the Tutumbaru- vii Machente section is unstable, it is necessary to recommend that the theoretical-practical instruction regarding slope studies, their types, characteristics, etc., be increased. Providing future officers of the engineering weapon with the necessary tools to be able to solve these problems when they are in these areas of the VRAEM.
